About the Role
The 3PL Manager is a key leadership position responsible for the effective collaboration with, and ongoing performance management of, a large logistics service partner. Key accountability includes:
- Ongoing performance revision of 3PL partner across both warehousing and distribution functions, to ensure delivery of agreed service levels.
- Undertaking annual reviews of contract performance with 3PL partner, making agreed amends to KPIs, SLAs, or contract terms, if required
- The establishment of a more effective interal 'Supply Chain Community', bringing together Demand Planning, Production, Shipping, Data and Customer Service to ensure that the supply chain is operating efficiently from end to end within the business.
- Overseeing the effective planning and management of all inbound shipments (Air / Sea) from China and other branches, including customs clearance and documentation.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success in the 3PL sector, or alternatively the consumer goods sector with a deep knowledge of third party logistics provision. A confident and articulate individual, you will be an enthusiastic account manager and have the ability to build successful and lasting business relationships. Tertiary qualifications in a related field would be an advantage.
