Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to;

  • Coordinating communication, marketing and promotional activities across a wide range of activities and platforms, ensuring consistency and timeliness of those activities;
  • Deliver an integrated communication service for your clients through liaising, coordinating and consulting with other communication teams, including media and creative services, senior managers, departmental officers and external clients of the department to develop and implement communications plans and strategies and identify promotional opportunities
  • Researching, writing and editing a range of communication resources to a high professional standard, including web content, factsheets, presentations, good news stories and social media posts.
  • Manage and coordinate wide-reaching communication projects, including campaigns, publications and communication collateral, from inception to completion, to ensure delivery within timeframes and budget.
  • Design, optimise, publish, and maintain online platforms to ensure overall functionality, performance, integrity, effectiveness, and accuracy.

SELECTION CRITERIA;

  • MUST have demonstrated experience working within Government.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage and work collaboratively with teams across the organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating with a broad audience through social media for business purposes.
  • An ability to apply marketing principles in the planning and preparation of campaigns to support business objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability using a content management system for website development.
  • Demonstrated ability to design high quality marketing collateral.
  • Ability to oversee the creation of marketing and promotion collateral.
  • Strong organisation skills with the ability to plan and coordinate campaigns
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Website management, social media platform management, digital campaign management
  • Knowledge of current and emerging digital media trends and digital technologies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
