AutoCAD Drafter - Manufacturing Projects

Location: Northern Suburbs Melbourne, Victoria
Job Type: Contract or Temp
Contact: Scott Logan

About the company

This is one of Australia's biggest and most successful manufacturing businesses - a global pharmaceutical company producing products that genuinely benefit human health and make a real difference to patient outcomes. They have a significant capital agenda that is seeing extensive upgrades, as well as brand new plant and machinery integrated into their large manufacturing site in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne

About the role

This role is all about ensuring that completed as-built project documentation being stored by the drawing office is accurate and complete as per the physical construction and installation that has been done. This means using AutoCAD (2D) to mark up and back draft documentation of a variety of disciplines such as P&IDs, SMP, electrical line diagrams, construction drawings, and mechanical drawings

About you

We're looking for someone who has demonstrated experience using AutoCAD 2D to back draft as-built documentation for process industry projects, and ideally someone who has had broad exposure to a range of different types of drawings and documentation. The role is most likely a mid-level position and the rate on offer would be in line with that, but we are flexible in considering a variety of levels

Why should you apply?

The best reason to apply for this role is because of the company itself, they're a large company with an ongoing sustained capital program which provides a lot of stability of employment - despite the fact that this is a contract role, it is expected to run into the long term. This employer regularly transfers contractors into permanent roles. The nature of the work you'll be doing is meaningful, in that the projects go towards producing products that really help people, and you will be able to interact with a huge team of engineers and technical people
