About the role
This role as an Automation Project Engineer will execute packages of automation and controls work within a broader project structure. Working closely with other engineering disciplines and with vendors/suppliers, you will have work ranging from concept to completion stages - ensuring the most suitable solutions and scoped and procured, contributing heavily during installation and commissioning, and ensuring that completed projects meet quality compliance and regulatory standards.
We're looking for a skilled automation and controls engineer who has experience working on capital projects:
- Engineering degree (likely electrical, electronic or mechatronic)
- Capital project execution experiene
- Process industry experience preferred (beverage, dairy, water treatment, pharmaceutical, oil, petrochem etc)
- Experience working with suppliers/vendors
- Strong technical PLC and DCS experience (Siemens preferred)
As far as contracts go, this is a pretty safe bet. This employer has long term capital expenditure planned and approved which will require long term contract resources who will likely end up in permanent roles. These projects are large scale and technically complicated, they will provide a fulfilling experience and an opportunity to build on your skills.
