The Business & Opportunity:
This organisation is an Australian freight and trucking organisation across Queensland and New South Wales. With a variety of depots and potential for career development across the state, this is an opportunity for an experienced depot/branch manager to lead their top central Queensland branch.

Role responsibilities:

  • Drive operations day-to-day, focused on gaining efficiencies to constantly improve high service standards
  • Develop new business and build-on current customer relationships aiming to create innovative customer solutions
  • Time investment into staff to shape personal and operational performance in-line with People Strategy
  • Administer compliance behind the Chain of responsibility, Load Restraint and Dangerous Goods processes/procedures
  • Work closely with departments to implement solutions to improve business performance
  • Take ownership and demonstrate accountability and integrity in all that you do to provide a clear direction forward
  • Take part in Internal Leadership and Safety programs to further develop your skill set

About you:

  • Experience overseeing and coordinating the operational function within a Manufacturing, Transport, Warehousing or Storage environment is essential.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team of operational staff in line with the branch P&L, budget and freight volumes is essential. (Leaders this is you're time to shine!)
  • Manage compliance and work health and safety in line with company policies and procedures, regulations, road laws, NHVR, and any other relevant legislative requirements.
  • Ability to establish and maintain customer relationships in line with the Followmont brand, Values and Code of Conduct.
  • A current, valid national high-risk work license (HRWL) is highly desirable
  • A current, valid QLD Driver's Licence (or ability to obtain) is essential.
