About the Role
In this role, as the Brand Marketing Manager you will own a brand portfolio across the DIY category selling into various retailers such as Bunnings and the IHG group. The role will be focused on driving brand awareness and penetration locally for your portfolio through category optimisation, launching new products and leading effective communications campaigns across all marketing channels. You will develop and implement innovative customer led marketing strategies and category growth brand plans for both the consumer and trade. You will report directly into the Marketing Director and will work alongside another Brand Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Manager to ensure strategic business objectives and customer needs are met. At times you will also partner with the global teams in the execute of NPD and feeding back local market insights and consumer trends.
Skills + Experience
- Prior experience at a Brand Manager or Product Manager level, or similar within the FMCG / Consumer goods space
- Strong understanding of digital campaign management and retail activations
- Proven successful NPD execution - either lift & launch or from ideation
- Exceptional communication, influence and stakeholder management skills with the ability to quickly build rapport and relationships
- Experience in category insights such as category growth drivers and competitor set
- Highly analytical and can make recommendations from assessing scan sales & identifying ROI opportunities
- Tertiary qualification within a relevant space e.g. Commerce
You will be commercially minded, consumer centric, result driven individual and a passionate people leader with a strong work ethic who enjoys working within a fast paced environment. You are the type of person who enjoys the idea of leaving their mark on an organisation through taking risks, rather than being a cog in a global wheel. You will have the ability to manage ambiguity effectively and enjoy taking on new challenges and demonstrate strong learning agility and adaptability. You will pride yourself on your ability to build rapport and strong relationships both internally and externally, especially with internationally based partners, thanks to your strong communication and influence skills.
