About the Company
Our client is an Australian owned business within the alcoholic beverage space, developing both own branded and private label products for both domestic and export markets including China, UAE, Japan, UK and US markets. They also have a contract packaging facility with both bottling lines and canning lines. Due to exceptional success with their suite of niche brands, the business has more than doubled over the course of the last three years in volume and as a result are looking for a BDM in their contract packaging business to continue driving growth.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Commercial, the Business Development Manager will be respnsible for managing a portfolio of existing accounts and drive new business into their contract packaging arm. You will be active in all beverage markets including wine, cider, beer, spirts as well as non-alcoholic beverages to understand potential needs of customers and put together commercial solutions that meet and deliver on their needs.
Skills and Experience
- Strong sales individual that has the ability to manage both existing accounts and drive new business
- Will ideally have experience working within contract packaging, or will have a sound understanding of the wine industry (in a sales capacity)
- Experience working cross functionally to bring projects together and meeet customer deadlines
- Is excitied to work in a growing business, in a technical sales role and continue driving growth
The internal culture of the business is nimble with a test and learn approach, they operate with a start-up feel within an established business, delivering innovation to market quickly through investment in CAPEX as required and strong retailer relationships.
You will be consumer centric with a creative nature, able to adapt and pivot quickly and being comfortable to be hands on within a small team environment.
