Having built up a data-rich environment, they have now created the role of Business Insights Analyst to leverage this data and provide insights on business performance.

About the role

This is a highly visible and lynchpin resource across the business, and a key enabler of the new data services structure to drive innovation and improve business performance.

Working closely with the Executive leadership team and key stakeholders across the company, you will provide key insights into the business, extracting, analysing and reporting on data to support sound business decisions and drive actionable insights. You will conduct detailed analysis of the business (market, sales, performance, customers) to forecast effectively, identify growth opportunities and uncover trends. This also includes financial modelling, board reporting and balance scorecards.

You will build and operationalise reporting insights and analytics, both regular and ad-hoc reporting - regularly updating key stakeholders and leaders. Building a strong understanding of the business priorities and pressure points, it is expected that over time you will be able to proactively call out issues in anticipation and in some form look to develop a self-service model across the business.

About you:

You are a data driven, customer-led business analyst with strong commercial understanding and technical abilities. You can dive in and out of the data, looking at structures, understand what's happened and the potential business impacts. You are a self-starter, with a bias towards action and attention to detail.

With exceptional stakeholder management skills and a customer centric approach you will have the experience and confidence to engage with stakeholders across all levels. Technically you will be proficient in BI tools (specifically Power BI), intermediate to advanced Excel and an understanding of SQL.
