About the company

Our client is an Australian owned FMCG business with suite of much brands across multiple categories. They are currently in an exciting period of growth and as a result looking to continue to grow their dynamic, entrepreneurial and consumer centric team.

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Marketing and stepping into a newly created role, the Category Manage will sit in a standalone role working closely with both Sales + Marketing across all brands within the portfolio, selling into the retail channel. The role will see you partner with internal teams to develop category stories to support across innovation and range reviews, leveraging IRI / Nielsen to generate powerful insights to drive category growth.

This role will be based from home initially due to current restrictions in Victoria, moving forward the business are happy to support flexible working arrangements with a hybrid of time spent both working from home and from the office.

Skills & experience

  • Demonstrated category experience within a similar role within the FMCG industry
  • Strong experience working closely with IRI / Nielsen
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills with the ability to both present and influence internal stakeholders and retailers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Degree qualification in relevant field e.g. Commerce, Business

You will be able to effectively navigate through ambiguity with a solutions focused nature, being adaptable to change and pivot as required, but also comfortable to prioritise your workload and not get lost in the detail.
