Our client is a highly respected, innovative Australian owned company, that designs and develops a range of well known tools and equipment for the flooring, construction and landscaping sectors. Sold direct and through third party rental/hire channels locally and internationally (primarily in the US), they are now poised to scale up the organisation to achieve the next phase of their growth agenda.
Reporting to the Board, the incoming CEO will be responsible for managing the business end to end from setting strategy and vision to innovation and design, manufacture and distribution with complete accountability for the P&L and balance sheet. This is a hands on leadership role where you will steer the organisation through new product launches, building the foundations for growth and continuing the international expansion drive with a focus on penetration of the US market where they already have a presence.
The ideal candidate will be tertiary qualified and have gained experience in blue chip and small/medium enterprise at C-Suite level. The role could suit a COO, EGM or GM in a larger business looking to 'step up' or an existing CEO from a medium sized organisation ($30m-$40m+). Experience should be gained in the power tools, trade and construction sectors more broadly. Key to your success will be your ability to lead a high performing and engaged culture and managing growth in US market. US experience will be highly advantageous.
