The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation provides the inspiration, information, professional development and support for educational institutions to deliver pleasurable food education, in conjunction with educators, partners and the wider community.

The organisation is seeking a motivated, results-driven and inspiring CEO to drive the expansion of pleasurable food education to children and young people across Australia. Reporting to the Board, your role is to:

  • inspire Australian schools and early childhood services to deliver the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program
  • refresh the Foundation's Strategic Plan 2019/24
  • advocate to all levels of government to secure visibility and funding
  • oversee internal operations and day-to-day business functions (finance, HR, fundraising, business development, communications, community engagement, program development)
  • oversee the delivery of the Healthy Kids Advisors Initiative
  • acquire and steward corporate and philanthropic partnerships
  • continue to build on and steward high value donors.

We are looking for:

  • an experienced CEO who is a genuine and strong leader, with a proven track record in developing and delivering an organisations strategy and vision
  • a commitment to leading a team of passionate professionals who are dedicated to the organisation's cause and values
  • government relations experience at federal, state and local levels
  • high commercial acumen and understanding of budgeting, governance and Board processes
  • experience in securing corporate and philanthropic partners and knowledge of the current fundraising environment
  • a passion for fresh, seasonal, delicious food and commitment to the aims of pleasurable food education.

Working with the Board and Founder, Stephanie Alexander AO, the successful candidate needs to align with and drive the culture and values of the Foundation. Showing a true desire to invest in these key relationships, while driving growth and development, is key.
