Family owned, innovative skincare business who have been on the market for 60 years. This business manufactures skincare for both the pharmaceutical & the cosmetic industry. This business are looking for a CI Engineer to join their packing team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Assistant Packing Manager, this CI Engineer will be responsible for supporting packing by leading data driven initiatives to improve product quality, reduce cost of production by targeting variation, simplifying processes, and eliminating waste.

You will be required to be hands on with the floor staff, be across both proactive & reactive initiatives, wor4king on data analysis, root cause & applying any other tools which are relevant.

Skills & Experience

This is an exciting and integral role within the business for future growth and your experience and skill set will include the following:

  • Develop budgets, business plans and capital expenditure plans for process improvement projects, including cost comparison of alternatives with projected financial outcomes.
  • Apply Lean principles and Six Sigma tools and methodologies to the development, analysis, and implementation of project work.
  • Assist in driving the standardisation of processes and implementation of metrics to control and access outcomes
  • Liaise with Production staff to ensure that improvement work will have a real impact on Packing line productivity.
  • Become a subject matter expert on the allocated Packing line(s) and assist in resolving issues on the allocated Packing line(s).
  • Run training meetings to disseminate information to ensure all Production team members understand changes and are prepared to effectively implement them in line with the business values.
  • Ensure all SOP's are followed in accordance with full GMP compliance.
  • Participate in the 5S program

Key attributes required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement principle and practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem skills
  • Open to 2+ years' experience across pharmaceuticals or fmcg
