Our client is a young and dynamic company in the area of functional food for children. Identifying a gap in the market in paediatric nutrition, the business has developed a trusted brand that has built a strong consumer following across the online, speciality pharmacy and retail channels. With a strong foothold in the US, this business is now at an exciting point of expansion with a key target across the Asia Pacific region. To lead this growth, we are looking for a commercial sales lead based locally, managing all customer, channel and brand development initially focused on the China market.
About the role
This senior level role will be tasked with developing and implementing the brand and sales strategy for both online and in-store channels. A basic framework for business development along with an understanding of the prospects in this space has been established, it is now time to bring in the driver of this growth to maximise the opportunity and consumer demand. Taking full P&L responsibility, you will manage all operational aspects of the region's development along with acquisition of required resource to achieve top and bottom line result, new revenue streams and drive overall market share and category consumption.
This role requires a strong understanding of the dynamics of the Chinese market gained in an executive level sales or marketing position. This experience has been across multiple customer groups with the ability to engage and influence across a broad range of stakeholder dynamics. It is essential that you have successfully driven the build of a consumer brand for a FMCG supplier business with experience in nutritional science, supplements or the dairy sectors being highly advantageous. A knowledge of online channel development along with speciality and pharmacy retail exposure is required as is the ability to identify innovation opportunities and convert this to revenue.
This is a highly autonomous position therefore you will bring the strategic and analytical horsepower to guide the development of your designated region in line with the broader global business objectives.
