About the role

Reporting directly to the global president based in Europe, the successful candidate will have full autonomy and responsibility to manage the P&L and set the strategic direction for the local business across Australia. This is a sales leadership and strategic growth focused role with direct reports in both Sales & Marketing and shared services across HR, Logistics and Finance.

Role mandate

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives aiming to accelerate profitable growth
  • You will be responsible for the achievement of the local financial business targets (Sales, Margin, Profit, WC etc.) and other, non-financial targets
  • Personal monitoring & development of the team and individual performance by identifying strengths and weaknesses, including training, coaching and development of personal career plans
  • Lead a sales team and operational efficiency transformation programme that will align the business to future success
  • Take the lead for the management of annual contract negotiations with key customers - distribution channel partners and direct end user customers
  • Responsible for the execution of the commercial policy within company guidelines as well as leading the annual price increases.

Skills & Experience

  • The successful candidate will ideally be a well-rounded business leader who has a track record in both B2B & B2C channels and experience working with large distribution style partners
  • You will be degree qualified with capability to develop further in your career within this global blue-chip organisation
  • A down to earth, collaborative, polished, highly engaging leader, and presenter
  • A strong influencer with exceptional negotiation skills
  • Be highly motivated to take ownership of the performance of the division
  • Exceptional business financial/commercial acumen understands the numbers and commercial impacts of the decisions they make with respect to the top and bottom line of the business
  • Be able to flip between tactical and strategic initiatives with ease
  • You will be a stand-out candidate if you have had recent industry experience of leading sales team who have sold into one of the following markets - Hospitality, Aged Care and Healthcare
