About the Role
Reporting through to the Head of Logistics & Procurement, the Demand Planner is responsible for taking ownership over a number of key categories, driving forecast accuracy and minimising variances, whilst taking into account seasonal and promotional activity. The frequency of new production introductions to major retail sales channels will add additional complexity to this process.
The demand planner also plays an integral part in the monthly collaborative planning process and will work cross functionally with other teams in sales, marketing, supply planning and operations to ensure sales targets are met, whilst maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Skills & Experience
Ideally tertiary qualified in the supply chain or logistics space, the successful candidate will have prior experience in a forecasting, demand analysis or planning role with an organisation supplying a major retailer. You will have the written and verbal communication skills required to influence key stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes, and be able to do this both up and down the structure. You will also display an aptitude for working in unstructured environments and have advanced Excel skills.
