Our client
Our client is a key health service provider across multiple sites in Melbourne. Combined, they have a number of hospitals, healthcare services and programs delivered to a wide community of Victorians. Currently experiencing substantial growth and also committed to new programs including COVID-19 vaccinations, there is an opportunity for a Communications Officer to join their hardworking, professional team on a 12 month fixed term contract. They open to full-time or 0.8FTE for the right candidate.

The role
Reporting to the Senior Communications Adviser you will be responsible for the development and implementation of communication strategies across the organisation, with a focus on the enhancing digital communication channels and activities.

  • You will use your experience in the development and implementation of social media strategy and planning to lead this space, while supporting the team in promoting communication both internally and externally through a variety of channels

  • You are able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, have strong interpersonal skills and work positively and effectively in a team.

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications or similar field experience

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar communications role, approx. 4 years + experience.

  • Ability to develop and execute communications plans across a range or projects and portfolio areas

  • Experience in developing and implementing a social media strategy to support an organisations objectives

  • Developing and supporting the production of innovative communication materials

  • Experience liaising with design and production agencies for the provision of project briefs and the oversight of production

  • Ability swiftly and sensitivity to respond to the communication challenges of the organisation.
