They have a complex, multi-functional built environment and are seeking a Director level specialist to lead the Capital Projects, Planning and Asset Utilisation teams.
About the role
Reporting to the Executive Director of Facilities, the primary mandate of this role is to develop and deliver the Annual Capital Program for Property. You will lead and manage the function to provide effective project management and resourcing of all phases of capital planning and project delivery; master planning of the built environment for current and future operations; and space allocation and utilisation on both a strategic and operational level.
Leading a team of specialists, you will ensure all facilities are planned to be utilised and that all services are delivered with a high emphasis on customer service. Additionally, you will establish policies and procedures to manage Capital Projects, Planning and Asset Utilisation whilst developing effective monitoring and reporting systems to provide to senior management with project visibility.
Importantly, you will provide high level strategic and operational advice and in particular, identify, assess and control risks to the health and safety of all users in the environment;
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have experience leading a Capital Projects, Planning and Asset Utilisation team in a complex, multi-functional built environment from industry sectors such as Education, Health, Banking or similar. You will have experience in best practice Project Management disciplines and have delivered a large scale multi-project capital investment program in a facilities environment. It is essential that you have a sound understanding of the relevant regulatory requirements of the building industry as well as comprehensive knowledge of property management operating standards and OH&S policies. You will bring highly developed skills in leadership, communication, stakeholder management and influencing, ability to drive change and a strong focus on customer service and delivery.
