Eastern Health is one of Melbourne's largest metropolitan public health services. They comprise 50 facilities, 7 hospitals, 3 Emergency Departments, 1423 beds and more than 9000 employees and volunteers. A rare opportunity exists to join the team as Director Communications to drive innovation and brand.
Reporting to the Executive Director People and Culture, you will lead a team of committed communications professionals to drive high performance across communications, marketing, events, reputation management and media. The role will have a key focus on developing and implementing communications strategies and deliver key events, marketing and brand initiatives. Government relations experience will be of benefit, as well as stakeholder management across internal and external stakeholders and clients.
Skills and experience
To be considered for the role you will have a proven track record delivering exceptional communications that inspire and engage audiences. Ultimately, you will take your organisational brand knowledge to the next level. You will be articulate, agile and strategic, coaching and leading by example and demonstrating strong influencing skills. You will demonstrate exemplary writing and verbal communications skills, attention to detail and a strong understanding of government relations will enable your success.
You will also demonstrate a dedicated approach to advising senior and executive stakeholders to manage complex and sensitive issues. Interpersonally you will impress as innovative, team oriented and emotionally intelligent approach to taking on an exceptional challenge in the Victorian public healthcare system.
