Building on this commitment, they are looking to hire an EHS Manager to sit on the leadership team of their largest Australian production site and continue to grow their exceptional record of safety integration.

About the Role

Sitting within the site leadership team, the EHS Manager will work with employees within the organisation to mitigate EHS risk and create a system and culture that works towards zero injuries through robust processes. There is a strong safety culture at the national level, and in this role, you will be the conduit to translate this into practice.

In this newly created role, you will work across the broad spectrum of EHS topics including chemicals management and handling, waste, traffic management and injury prevention and management. You will be the EHS go-to for specialist support and consultancy, training, coaching and support of local personnel and provision of technical advice, supporting Sales, Supply Chain, SETS, and Technical Services across the state.

Critical to the role will be the ability to communicate with leaders of the business while digesting all information provided surrounding risks and then prioritizing what should be actioned. This individual will be the champion of driving a safety culture through mentoring & training of colleagues within their team and the broader business.

Skills & Experience

This is an exciting and integral role within the business for future growth and your experience and skill set will include the following:

  • Knowledge of EHS frameworks, legislation, & regulations and experience implementing through policies & procedures successfully in a business.
  • Ability to rapidly build rapport with all levels across the business, coupled with a genuine passion for safety
  • Relevant qualifications within OH&S
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced and high growth FMCG manufacturing environment, with 24/7 operations and a high volume of output
