This global blue chip manufacturer is well-esablished and easily recognisable, they have a well established and longstanding manufacturing presence in inner South Eastern suburbs Melbourne which is currently seeing a large capital investment program to expand their production capacity and to facilitate the integration of new products into their local portfolio

About the role

As an Electrical & Automation Project Engineer you'll be delivering end to end capital projects from design through to handover, you'll work with both internal stakeholders (operations, maintenance, quality) and external stakeholders (consultants and suppliers) to design, procure, install, commission and validate electrical distribution assets such as transformers and plant power and lighting. Much of the technical work - design and programming - will be completed by your suppliers, so this role is more focused on project management than on technical execution, and coordinating supplier and contractor activity to ensure a successful project result

About you

We're looking for a project engineer with electrical distribution project delivery experience

  • Electrical Engineering degree
  • Background in a manufacturing industry (food, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, chemical would be preferred)
  • Experience delivering electrical distribution projects within manufacturing (such as transformers)
  • Experience delivering automation scopes of work would be advantageous but not essential
