An exciting opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager now exists to support manufacturing operations and new product implementation.
About the role
As the Engineering Manager, you will support the production operations by providing a highly effective maintenance and reliability strategy, executed through a skilled trades team of 10. With overall accountability for the site preventative and proactive maintenance strategy, you will ensure downtime is minimised and responded to efficiently, and plant availability is maximised to ensure customer satisfaction.
Additionally, the site is currently experiencing significant growth and as such, a major capital investment program is underway. Working with the senior leadership group, you will lead the asset management program ensuring capital investment is delivered as required in order to meet the growing need for additional volume and packaging capability.
Key deliverables include strategy development, increased reliability, cost reduction and a focused engaged team.
Skills & Experience
Key to your success in this role, will be your leadership and management skills, as well as your strong engineering experience to drive plant efficiency (OEE) and minimise maintenance department costs. You will be tertiary qualified with a Maintenance or Engineering discipline and demonstrated experience in implementing preventative and reliability program. You background will include a track record of large project management delivery.
You will possess excellent people leadership capabilities and have a passion for coaching and training maintenance personnel. Your experience in working with high volume, fast paced plant would be very beneficial.
