Kids Under Cover is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to preventing youth homelessness. They are a charity organisation in Australia supporting vulnerable young people between the ages of 12 and 25 years who are either already homeless or at risk of homelessness.
They do this by providing studio accommodation and education scholarships. They believe stable accommodation and education help young people stay connected to their family, to education and with their community.
About the role
The Fundraising Manager leads the organisation's fundraising activities and events. They are responsible for the relevant strategy for growing Kids Under Cover's income from the public, philanthropic and corporate sectors.
The overarching aim of this role is to increasingly diversify and build on the existing fundraising revenue base to ensure Kids Under Cover can continue to deliver early intervention programs to prevent youth homelessness.
Leading the fundraising team and reporting to the CEO, the key responsibilities include:
- Generating an increase in revenue from new and existing sources and initiatives
- Leading the development, implementation and review of fundraising strategies
- Develop a calendar for the organisation's fundraising and events activities
- Drive and foster a sustainable team that encourages high performance
- Contribute to organisational strategy and assist in the development of the annual organisational plan as a member of the Senior Management Team
Skills & Experience
As an accomplished hands-on fundraising manager, you'll be a big-picture thinker, articulate and engaging with proven success in driving philanthropic and major donor income streams. As an inspirational leader who thrives on complexity and teamwork, you will demonstrate great people management skills and a passion for the not-for-profit sector and the cause.
