This organisation is a global branded consumer durables business (circa $200m turnover) across multiple categories sold through a variety of retailers predominantly hardware and discount department stores, but also with a growing commercial (B2B) channel strategy. With local and offshore manufacturing, and a global mandate to drive a culture of innovation across the product range and ways of working, the business has a strong growth agenda.
About the role
The GM (ANZ) will report directly to the CEO (based internationally) and have full P&L responsibility for the Australian and NZ business. As part of the role you will be responsible for:
- Part of the global leadership team to help drive a truly global organisation
- Lead all functions including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Manufacturing, HR and Finance across ANZ
- Drive deep retail partnerships and grow business into new customer groups
- Grow the commercial (B2B) business including potential M&A activity
- Build the culture and capability of the ANZ team (circa 100 staff)
Experience & Skills
To ensure your success in this role, you must present with:
- Experience gained as a GM/MD/Divisional Director from a Consumer Durables business
- Ideally experience in the consumer hardware channel (and have dealt with Bunnings)
- Marketing and product led
- Ideally experience in a manufacturing led environment or an environment where product innovation is at the forefront
- A highly commercial and strategic leader who has proven experience in growing businesses organically and through acquisition activities
- Experience with high level negotiations with customers and suppliers
- Exceptional leadership and influencing skills
- Tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline
