In recent years as a result of investment and expansion they have experienced a significant growth trajectory which is expected to continue into 2021 and beyond. In line with these plans, there is now the opportunity for a highly-motivated and values-led commercial leader to join their Executive Team in the role of General Manager - Sales & Marketing.
About the role
Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, the GM- Sales & Marketing will lead a team of 30+ across sales, marketing, front-end logistics and customer service. This role will provide strategic leadership, direction and influence on the development, implementation and evaluation of the functions initiatives, strategies, policies, and programs. Driving sales, category and market share growth will be a key objective in line with profitability, reputation, and brand targets. As a key member of the Executive Leadership team this role will also provide high level authoritative strategic and independent advice with a whole of business perspective to a broad range of stakeholders.
About the Candidate
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of success in leading sales and marketing teams ideally within a complex category and/or environment. The ability to drive long and medium strategic goals whilst also managing the fast-paced nature of the FMCG industry is critical along with influential communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. A passion for people and team development is required as well as the ability to work cross-functionally in order to understand all aspects of their end-to-end business. A keen interest in continuous improvement, on-going value adding and building strategic partnerships with internal, external and community stakeholders at all levels will also be key to success. Most importantly, you will be driven by the opportunity to personally grow and develop within Huon's unique business model and culture whilst bringing your team along with you on this positive journey.
An executive salary package including short-term and long-term incentives are on offer along with the ability to lead your function in an autonomous, flexible and entreprenurial way.
This role has the flexibility to be based in either Sydney or Hobart. Applicants could be based in either location currently or open to relocation. Due to remit of role there will also be the need to travel intrastate, interstate and internationally as required.
