To support the next evolution of their business an opportunity has become available for an ambitious and growth minded leader to lead the Victorian operation.
About the role
Reporting to the COO, the General Manager of Victoria is accountable for the commercial and operational outcomes of multiple sites and ensuring the effective transport of cargo for a range of customers. Key responsibilities include:
* Management of a large (200+ staff) operation by fostering a strong team first culture and through the implementation of rigorous process to support their exceptional growth
* Optimisation of fleet to improve utilisation, introducing a Lean Six Sigma approach, and developing a road map for part automisation of the primary distribution hub
* Increase alignment between the operations and commercial teams which is expected will account management activities and result in profitability growth
* Implement the right structure that will effectively support this next transformation phase of the business and introduce broader supply chain principles that will add value to the operation
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will be a proven senior logistics leader from either the 3PL or Consumer Goods sectors, with a track record of success in developing process and implementing frameworks to support an operation during a growth phase. An authentic leader, who is as comfortable walking the floor as they are presenting to the executive leadership team, the successful candidate will possess strong commercial acumen, and an agile yet also process driven mindset.
