As our work needs evolve (particularly with hybrid & flexible working increasing), so has the need for the Australian subsidiary to transition the sales & marketing function from core business (whilst protecting) to emerging solutions (growth). Their services & solutions are powering modern ways of working.
Reporting to a very impressive Managing Director & a key member of the ELT, this is a critical role that leads a large national sales team of 100+ as well as owning the marketing function with a view to seamlessly integrating the 2 functions. The remit for the role will be driving a significant sales transformation to reposition the sales function from traditional core business to evolving and innovative digital solutions, also a greenfield opportunity to build a world class marketing function that with your strategic direction will define the GTM.
You will have the autonomy to build the right structure aligned to delivering commercial outcomes around profitability. There's a strong, clear agenda from the entire ELT who're laying the foundations for a significant shift in the organisation, investing in the right platforms for future growth with all the fundamental levers on the table for a Tier 1 Sales Director to play with including incentive programs, skills matrixes, sales processes, defining the marketing function, ideal customer portfolio, value propositions and enabling the team to deliver. Craft the vision, draw the roadmap, leverage the brand and global peers as the business evolves to the future.
You will be a polished, corporate and commercial leader who brings experience from a best practice background, demonstrating highly attuned change management skills from having delivered large scale sales transformations with teams of at least 50+. Industry experience is less critical than sales transformations and you will be adept with the principles of change management from within a blue chip corporate in the B2B space, technology experience preferred but not essential (eg telco, SaaS, managed or professional services, we'll also consider B2B markets such as industrials). You will have led leaders who lead sales teams, have had complete accountability for strategy & revenue in a business with turnover of min $50Mpa.
Needless to say, at this level of role you will be highly commercial, excellent with data, be hands-on with enterprise & government customers, demonstrate a track record of aligning sales & marketing functions (including digital assets) and bring corporate polish & comfort collaborating & influencing C-suite stakeholders. Tertiary qualifications are essential.
