Cricket Australia is one of the most successful sporting bodies in the world, and has a vision to be Australia's favourite sport, and a sport for all Australians. Its purpose is to inspire everyone to love cricket. The organisation has experienced significant growth over the last 12 months through the likes of sponsorship and TV rights deals, record crowds and an exciting brand portfolio including the likes of BBL and WBBL which are helping grow the category into new markets, and importantly driving participation with females.
Reporting to the EGM, this role has a clear mandate to develop the vision for marketing, leading the development and overseeing the implementation of the marketing strategy that positions cricket as number one for fans and participants. The role will lead a lead a team of highly engaged marketers providing the leadership and direction across a deep product portfolio and house of brands which will involve customer segmentation, highly creative brand communications and effective stakeholder management across a wide group both internally and externally. This role has the opportunity to build on the relationship between Cricket Australia and fans and participants, whilst reinstating pride in Australian Cricket.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a senior marketing leader (eg Head of Marketing level) ideally within the sport or entertainment sectors and hold tertiary qualifications in Business or Marketing. The incumbent will be a strong leader and stakeholder manager, digitally savvy, and progressed in their thinking in terms of the optimal channels from a media perspective. Creativity and innovative, as well as demonstrating energy and passion will be critical ingredients.
