The business is currently undergoing a cultural renaissance internally, and preparing for a new phase of growth. The business operates a state of the art distribution centre in the northern suburbs of Melbourne which services nationwide.
About the Role
As the Head of Marketing, this newly created role is responsible for embedding a robust market strategy while having a laser-like focus on commercial returns. You will lead and develop the strategic go-to-market activity to deliver growth across both commercial and residential sectors. Aside from being a technically sound marketer, you will also be effective in delivering a cultural shift across all levels of the business to introduce best in class marketing innovation, and an unparalleled level of transparency. You will set in place the strong foundations of a marketing strategy which capitalize on the existing assets of the business while looking for new ways to improve the customer experience and offering. This role will focus on assessing new strategic growth opportunities, delivering targeted acquisition programs (with a particular focus on the commercial sector), embedding a consumer insights framework to inform NPD and go-to-market strategies, and developing marketing programs for the sales team, retailers and commercial partners. This role will lead the strategic delivery and execution of a refreshed brand architecture, and will act as the ongoing brand custodian. The role manages a growing team of 8+ direct reports, and reports directly into the CEO.
You are a degree qualified, digitally savvy senior marketing leader with 10+ years experience in strategically focused marketing roles. Although open to your industry background, experience with interior products, furniture, fabrics or hardware would be highly advantageous. You have a creative eye, you enjoy following consumer trends, and know how to commercialise these for the consumer. With deep experience in launching go-to-market plans and developing new propositions, you have multi-channel experience and love utilising customer insights to drive strategic outcomes. You have strong stakeholder management skills - you are at ease working with in-house product managers and designers, working with resellers and offshore manufacturers, engaging with an external agency, or managing a high potential team to deliver. You are nimble, driven and charismatic, highly commercial, and looking for an exciting and fast paced environment to showcase your ability. You will thrive in a transforming environment, are comfortable with change and are a natural born leader.
