Our client is an iconic Australian organisation with headquarters in Melbourne's inner suburbs. Currently going through a period of transformation, they have a rare opportunity for an experienced supply chain leader to join their business in the capacity of Head of Planning & Inventory.

About the Role

Reporting to Executive Leadership level, The Head of Planning & Inventory will be responsible for the ongoing development of this organisations integrated business planning process, with the end goal of improving forecast accuracy and more effectively balancing these requirements with supply capacity. Also crucial is the leadership of a complex national inventory function which processes, stores and distributes a high volume of time-sensitive, temperature controlled product Australia-wide

Using information gathered from your customers, and internal funtions such as commercial, logistics, manufacturing and quality, you will champion and demonstrate the benefits of a whole business approach to integrated business planning (IBP), in line with company strategy. And through better balancing of forecasted demand and supply, you will optimise inventory holdings across multiple sites, improve DIFOT performance and support this organisations future growth with best in class supply chain processes.

Skills & Experience

You will be a highly analytical supply chain professional with expertise in supply, demand and production planning in the manufacturing or fast consumer goods industries. A first-class communicator and influencer, you will be able to demonstrate the benefits and value to an organisation of IBP and be able to bring others on that journey. Ideally tertiary qualified in a relevant field such as supply chain or logistics, you 'know what good looks like' from an IBP and inventory practice perspective a be able to tailor that to a unique business.
