They have a long history and a well established head office in Brisbane where they are currently working on a refreshed business strategy, including their positioning and go to market plan. The Executive team are impressive and come from varied backgrounds bringing true diversity to the group. With a strong culture focused on people, our client is looking for a high calibre Head of Sales to join the growing Executive team.

The Role

As part of the Executive team you will help to drive the business transformation across the Sales division starting from the ground up. You will work closely with Marketing, Operations, Finance and HR to ensure the refreshed business strategy is achieved. As mentioned this is a well-established organisation with a lot of history, therefore will be a true transformational role to drive the change and sophistication required within the division. It will require a fresh vision across the team, increasing capability and resources, implementing end to end sales processes, review of go to market strategy and execution to budget. Key to the success of this will be your ability to analyse different markets to make sure your team is well equipped to win against the competition. You will be a customer obsessed sales leader and bring best practise customer service to the group which will be rolled out around the world. You will not be afraid of a challenge and have an entrepreneurial flair to help craft new processes to optimise outcomes.

Skills and Experience

To be successful you will have:

  • Demonstrated track record within a complex FMCG sales environment, having lead large high performance teams that sell through a distributor model.
  • You will be able to drive significant change through a mature business unit and love the idea of a global market.
  • You will be able to demonstrate your outside the square thinking that is backed up by data to get results.
  • Most importantly you won't be afraid to take the bull by the horns and make some tough calls if required. However your customer centric approach will be at the heart of all decisions.
