About our Client
Our client is a highly successful and socially conscious Australian consumer goods organisation with a thoroughly unique vision to better the world. They create and deliver a number of remarkable personal care products to some of Australia's largest retail organisations, and currently have a fantastic opportunity available for an experienced supply chain professional in the capacity of Head of Supply Chain Operations.
About the Role
Reporting through to the General Manager and leading a team of 4 direct reports, the Head of Supply Chain Operations is a critical role responsible for the implementation and ongoing leadership of a range of policies, processes and systems that will support broader business objectives with a best in class distribution network.
Your experience in sourcing and procurement methodology will take cost out, avoid future cost and continue to generate value for the organisation, in addition to fostering collaborative supplier relationships. Your supply chain planning skill set will ensure that optimal inventory is available to meet forecasted customer demand, and your understanding of warehousing and transport functions will ensure that 3PL partners are providing suitable and high performing logistics solutions.
This is a rare opportunity to not only add value to an already highly successful organisations supply chain and procurement function, but to also make a broader social contribution.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will be a supply chain & procurement professional with a demonstrated track record of success across sourcing, supplier management, planning, inventory and logistics functions, ideally from the consumer goods manufacturing sector. You will be a natural leader of people, have the ability to influence effectively up and down the structure and be passionate about developing others. A customer focused approach to supply chain operations, a sustainable approach to sourcing and procurement and a socially conscious approach across all areas will also be key to your success in this role.
