Owned by an American multinational, they are investing in the region to drive growth in all of their key markets including food service, QSR and retail. At their manufacturing locations, they are raising the bar on safety and sustainability and are seeking a talented EHS Manager to lead change through targeted behavioural safety programs and working closely with the operational workforce.
What's the opportunity?
Do you enjoy working in an operational environment where safety is at the heart of the company culture? The EHS Manager will be accountable for safety and sustainability performance and will specifically focus on behavioural safety programs that target safe ways of working and ensuring that all employees have a safe place to work. The role will include deployment of training programs, continuous improvement of work practices, updating documentation and promoting proactive safety behaviours at all levels of the organisation. Working across two locations, this role will balance the cultural change aspects of safety management whilst improving the safety management system, policies and procedures.
What will you need to be successful?
Experience as a Safety or EHS Manager within a manufacturing or industrial environment and ideally a qualification in OHS or similar. Additionally, you will have led and implemented a behavioural safety program that successfully effected change and improved safety performance in the business. The role requires an ability to engage an operational workforce and manage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. You will be a positive and proactive safety leader able to problem solve, use critical analysis and a risk management approach to navigate through challenges.
