About the role
The Inventory Planner is a critical position responsible for ensuring that inventory availability is maximized for customers across a specific portfolio. Playing a key role within their S&OP process, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing best practices around inventory and planning across a complex national network of DC's, re balancing of inventory where required, driving the management of slow moving stock and obsolete stock with Business Manager and responding to inventory issues to manage Customer service levels. You will also be working closely with the sales team to manage demand activities as well as managing purchasing requirements and adopt strategies to achieve inventory turn targets.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success in FMCG or retail inventory management working with high volume of SKU's. A confident and articulate individual, you will have a sound understanding of supply chain management principles and the ability to build successful and lasting business relationships. Tertiary qualifications in a related field would be an advantage. SAP experience is preferred.
This is an urgent requirement, therefore you must be able to start immediately and be able to commit to a 6 month contract
