Investing in growth of the business, yet also the future state of the supply chain function, they are now seeking an executing level planning professional to join the team in this newly created role which will lead the inventory planning function.
About the role
Reporting to the GM Supply Chain, the role will be responsible for all planning related functions that to ensure effective movement of product from local and overseas suppliers into the store network. Core to the will be:
* Lead a team responsible for Demand, Supply and Inventory and optimise the use of a recently implemented forecasting tool
* Control Open to Buy for wholesale and store inventory as required and working with stores to continuously optimise stock position
* Communicate with Merchandise and Marketing teams and improve flow of information that will provide greater visibility of critical promotions.
* Ensure the effective movement of stock via domestics and international logistics service providers
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will be a proven senior planning leader with a demonstrated track record of success within the Retail or Consumer Goods sectors. International logistics exposure is essential along with experience implementing processes that deliver improvements in forecast accuracy, warehouse availability and stock turns. Unique to the role is the broad stakeholder group you will deal with, which includes franchise store owners, so it will be your strengths in collaboration and high level communication that will be critical to your success.
