As a result of continued growth in the region, they now have a fantastic opportunity available for an experienced logistics professional to lead a large distribution function from their head office in Melbourne.
About the Role
The Logistics Manager is responsible for leading the operational and commercial performance of a large, complex distribution network, supporting future growth and improving customer service levels. In this high-profile leadership role, your key accountability will also include:
- Working collaboratively with additional supply chain functions and clients to ensure that logistics service levels, inventory targets and cost reduction opportunities are optimised.
- Ensuring that functional processes are aligned to broader business strategies around safety, service and financial targets.
- Driving supply chain projects, continuous improvement initiatives and identifying any systems improvements opportunities that may be benefited from.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will be a logistics professional with a demonstrated track record of success in either the consumer goods, retail or 3PL industries. You will have had experience overseeing a large distribution network, driving cost reductions and improving customer service levels. Ideally tertiary qualified in a relevant field, you will also possess first class interpersonal and demonstrated influencing abilities.
