Logistics Manager

Location: Bankstown, New South Wales

Primary objective:

Develop and manage all Supply Chain activities including Procurement, Inbound and outbound logistics Transport and Warehousing of finished product as well as Import of Finished Product. A key focus is to actively drive costs down while focusing on high levels of Customer Service.

Other objectives:

  • Provide strong leadership through effective communication of performance against set goals and targets and the establishment of a continuous improvement driven culture

  • Participate in and help manage our S&OP process as a key driver of overall business performance
  • Prepare budgets for the Supply Chain function and work to actively drive improvements in cost competitiveness

  • Manage inventory across internal and external warehouses to maintain stock accuracy, while minimising aged stock and working capital

  • Manage performance of 3PL providers
  • Continuously pursue process and cost improvement opportunities across all areas of the supply chain

  • Provide a clear focus and strategy supported by strong communication both within the supply chain team and across the broader business. A member of the operational leadership team
  • Conduct regular cycle counts of all inventory locations, internal and external, and take appropriate corrective actions to ensure accuracy is >98%

  • Conduct regular staff performance reviews to align priorities, provide feedback on performance and promote professional development. Counsel staff as required

Skills & Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifaction

  • 7 years experience in distribution and warehousing

  • Strong commercial and negotiating skills

  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

Main KPI's:

  • Inventory levels/Working Capital/Aged Stock

  • Cost below budget

  • Efficient S&OP process
