Headquartered in Melbourne's inner suburbs, they have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced supply chain professional to join their leadership group in the capacity of Logistics Manager.
About the Role
Reporting through to the Operations Manager and leading a team responsible for inbound, storage and national distribution functions for a range of customers across multiple sales channels, the Logistics Manager is a key supply chain role responsible for:
- Working collaboratively with a range of 3PL partners to ensure that service levels, inventory availability and costs are optimised across an international logistics network.
- Ensuring that 'in house' warehouse operations are aligned to broader business strategies around safety, service level and cost.
- The recruitment, training and development of both permanent and casual staff, including site occupational health & safety.
- The replenishment of interstate branches and management of reverse logistics for damaged good and consignment stock from retail customers.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have a track record of success in warehousing, distribution and 3PL management in the manufacturing, consumer goods or 3PL sectors. You will have experience leading teams and building the capability of individuals in an environment where safety is paramount. Your customer service driven approach and the ability to manage a range of existing accounts and internal stakeholders will be a key part of your success in this role.
