This is a privately owned FMCG manufacturer operating multiple production sites in the South Eastern suburbs, they are a producer of their own brands, a private label manufacturer, and a contract manufacturer. Having doubled their business in the last few years, they are now looking to put in place the necessary structure to sustain this level of growth and improvement.
About the role
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring that maintenance activity across site is planned, scheduled and delivered appropriately, and that practices and systems are continuously improved. You'll ensure that maintenance can be carried out in a safe and effective manner, and that you build a team of capable and engaged people. You will also be reporting to senior leadership as to plant performance, troubleshooting problems to their root cause and delivering long term solutions and improvements. Where necessary, you'll also contribute to capital projects and new product developments that effect the plant.
We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager from a manufacturing environment who can lead teams effectively, and who knows what good maintenance practices look like. You will either be degree qualified as an engineer, or have a relevant trades background before having moved into supervisory roles. We're looking for someone who has a good knowledge of plant safety requirements, and can demonstrate their ability to deliver sustained and consistent improvement to plant performance.
This role, although initially a contract, will also become a permanent role within the short term - it is a great opportunity to join a business that is on a growth trajectory and to take charge of a plant where there is a massive opportunity to drive change.
