Our client

Primary Health Networks (PHNs) were established by the Australian Government to increase the efficiency of medical services, reduce fragmentation of care and improve health outcomes for everyone, especially for the most vulnerable. Eastern Melbourne Primary Health Network (EMPHN) achieves this goal by improving access to existing services, commissioning services to improve health outcome and by supporting GPs and others to innovate and further improve local health care. They aim to improve the health of their community by ensuring people receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time.

The role

An exciting opportunity awaits you in the position of Manager Communications and Engagement, where you will manage, develop and implement EMPHN's communications, engagement and marketing strategies. You will lead a small, energetic communications team who specialize in the areas of internal communications, change management, digital communications, events, stakeholder engagement and media relations and more.

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Board and Executive Leadership team, you will provide key advice and support to position their organisation and commissioned services to relevant stakeholders and the community.

About you

You will offer significant experience in developing and operationalising integrated communications, engagement and marketing strategies, along with:

  • Relevant qualifications in communications or marketing (or a related discipline)
  • Media management and extensive stakeholder engagement experience both externally and internally at all levels of the organisation
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring a team
  • A demonstrated understanding of the full spectrum of digital communications (e.g. social media, intranet, website channels) and experience in managing and delivering digital based communications
