They have a complex, multi-functional built environment and are seeking a Manager level specialist to lead the Space and Physical Planning team.
About the role
Reporting to the Director of Capital Projects and Asset Utilisation, the primary mandate of this role is the accountability for space planning models and spatial requirements as part of the organisation's strategic plan. You will develop and maintain the space inventory, working with key stakeholders to maximise utilisation with evolving space requirements. With strategic oversight, you will review and provide recommendations regarding all user department space and capital/minor works requests for the Space Master Plan. Importantly, you will manage competing requirements for space placing a high emphasis on customer service.
Additionally, you will develop a campus master plan with respect to forecast growth and implement detailed approved work plans to develop location visions and master plans within the approved planning framework and funding packages.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have experience leading a Space and Asset Utilisation team in a complex, multi-functional built environment from industry sectors such as Education, Health, Banking or similar. You will have experience in master planning, space planning and a comprehensive knowledge of space analysis, monitoring and evaluation techniques, reporting systems and benchmarking. You will bring highly developed skills in leadership, communication, stakeholder management and influencing, ability to drive change and a strong focus on customer service and delivery.
