Our client is an award-winning brand design consultancy based in Australia, the UK and the US. They have built their reputation over 20 years of operation through offering their clients, largely in the alcohol and drinks industry, exceptional service levels across nearly every creative discipline. They pride themselves not only on the strength of their work, but also their achievements and their culture. They are dedicated to creating more sustainable and environmentally responsible packaging in order to futureproof their business, their clients' businesses, and the planet.
Being a female owned and led business they have a strong culture of empathy and teamwork and aim to nurture and empower everyone who comes to work with them by helping them be the best they can be. As a result of further growth and to help them continue with this mission, they are now seeking a Managing Director to join the Australian team, in a newly created role.
As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will report directly to the CEO and will facilitate and lead the agency's ongoing business and client operations for the Australasian regions. You will be accountable for the profitability of the business, which includes generating work from new and existing high profile clients. You will lead and attract a collective of diverse and talented team members, currently sitting at around 20 heads, fostering a strong and collaborative culture and encouraging maximum performance and dedication. This is a highly visible position, requiring you to exhibit the utmost of professionalism, both internally and when called upon to represent the organisation, with external clients and the global organisation.
This role presents an exceptional opportunity and as such requires a truly unique individual to achieve success. Bringing a proven track record of senior leadership experience from an agency environment and a strong understanding of the full suite of brand and creative disciplines, you will also possess solid commercial acumen, a strong sense of culture and team, and ideally an understanding of the drinks or alcohol industry, although this isn't essential. Although a leader, you will be supportive and collaborative and will not be afraid to roll up your sleeves and get on the tools to support your team if and when required. Although a degree of hybrid working is offered, this role really requires someone who can be in the office more often than not to be across the detail and to be present to support the team. In addition a willingness to collaborate with global peers by way of virtual conversations, outside of business hours, may be a requirement from time to time.
