Marketing & Communications Specialist

Our client is a values-driven family owned food distribution service based in South East Melbourne. Built on 20 years of vast experience, their strong focus on providing excellent customer service is at the core of everything they do. Due to growth within the business they are currently looking for an experienced Marketing and Communications Specialist to join the team.

About the role

Reporting to the GM, you will oversee the marketing and communications calendar end to end including the implementation and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns. This is a strategic, creative, and tactical role which would best suit a self-starter who is keen to take ownership of the marketing and communication processes.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage and implement the marketing & communications calendar across print, digital, social, PR and loyalty
  • Prepare creative editorial content for all communication platforms online and offline
  • Plan and implement seasonal promotions and provide reporting on all promotional activities
  • Implement, execute and manage events and support the Sales and Purchasing Team initiatives
  • Review and develop where required internal and external communications processes

Skills & experience

  • A relevant qualification within Marketing, Business or Commerce
  • At least 3 years' experience with exposure to a broad range of marketing & communication functions within a B2B environment
  • Proven success in taking ownership/leadership of projects and executing down to the finest details
  • Solid commercial acumen with the ability to thing creatively and strategically when it comes to problem solving
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with Graphic and Web Design (In Design or equivalent a must)

  • Salary pro -rata $80,000 to $100,000
  • 3 or 4 days a week or flexible hours eg 9.30am to 3pm, for the right person we can work the role around you!
