About the role
As the Marketing Director, you will be responsible for developing the market strategy and value proposition to drive acquisition of new customers. With a multi-million dollar budget under your management you will ensure a first-class customer experience that drives brand awareness and generates new customer leads through well positioned marketing campaigns (direct-to-customer, direct response programs and TV commercials), PR and digital with a strong focus across SEO/SEM and website analytics. Another key focus will be to further strengthen the customer nurture program for existing / non-active customers as well as developing sales tools and collateral to support the vertical / channel go to market strategy.
You have demonstrated experience in launching a brand and product in market and driving trial and acquisition of targeted customers, using tactics such as SEO, viral acquisition, content marketing, paid acquisition including SEM, adwords, social, display, mobile and affiliate advertising. You bring a wealth of experience in TV commercial development campaigns from ideation to execution, and are effective in working closely with agency partners. You have strong understanding of CRM and nurture programs and developing content to drive interest throughout the sales cycle. As with any commercial marketer, you have demonstrated experience across product positioning, pricing, customer value proposition and distribution channels.
Comfortable in a dynamic and fluid environment, you will have a keen sense of implementing brand and communication material and must be able to demonstrate measurable outcomes. Underpinning your marketing skills will be a creative and entrepreneurial mindset that takes a pragmatic approach to problem solving. Bringing with you the overarching strategic vision, you are also completely at ease in getting into the detail, with an "all hands on deck" approach.
Skills and Experience
You are degree qualified, digitally savvy senior marketer with experience across the retail landscape. You have demonstrated skills in launching go-to-market plans and new products to market and are results focused. Bringing with you extensive stakeholder management experience, you will be able to secure buy-in from the senior leadership team, work effectively with global counterparts, engage agency partners and lead a growing team. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, are self driven and are a natural born leader and mentor. TV experience is a must.
