About the role
In the newly created role, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for embedding an overarching marketing strategy to deliver against the business' core objectives of driving acquisition of new B2B customers. You will own the marketing plan and ensure seamless cross-channel integration is delivered - be that across owned and earned, digital and traditional, direct and the internal sales teams. In conjunction with the "always on" strategy, this role will develop agile, tactical activity to ensure they are responsive to market changes, and can nimbly act to protect and retain customers, or actively grow their base. The successful candidate will focus on delivering a sustainable and targeted customer acquisition strategy, building out the lead nurture processes, improving the customer experience at key touchpoints, executing on campaign delivery, leading all digital marketing (including paid search, social, SEO and SEM), creating an insights led rich content strategy and managing an event marketing program of work. You will have the proven ability to blend data-driven marketing with creative flair to deliver a memorable customer experience, always with an ROI front of mind. Of course, all the "B2B usuals" will be part of your toolkit - thought leadership, white papers, events, sponsorship partnerships …. But what other tools will you be bringing with you to shape this segment strategy?
You are a degree qualified, digitally savvy senior marketer with 5+ years experience across B2B markets. You will be at ease being an "educator" within the business, becoming a trusted advisor within the marketing space. You are at the intersection of creating and delivering on strategic marketing objectives, while still being able to be hands-on and resourceful as the sole internal marketing resource. With deep experience in launching go-to-market strategies to market, you have multi-channel experience and love utilising customer insights to drive strategic outcomes. You have a track record in working with B2B sales teams to achieve common goals. You are driven and charismatic, autonomous, highly commercial, and looking for an exciting and fast paced environment to showcase your ability. Importantly, you can demonstrate a growth mindset, operate effectively within an ambiguous and fast paced environment, and be extraordinarily goal orientated. Ideally, you will also have experience in managing digital / creative agencies. A background in financial services or professional services is advantageous.
