Our client is an growing SME Australian food manufacturer and distributor who make a range of natural food products and ingredients which are sold into food service markets both locally and internationally. The business has evolved over 30 years and continues to provide high levels of services to businesses due to its exceptional relationships built with suppliers, logistic partners and clients.
The business is continuing to grow both locally and internationally and as a result the are looking for a dynamic, fast-moving, strong marketer who can help further build on the foundations of the company and set them up for success into the future.
About the role
The newly created role will see you report directly into both founders and will take the lead on marketing and brand development. You will come on board to develop strong brand foundations and guidelines; a suite of assets, content, sales tools and collateral for global markets, then work alongside the Business Managers to develop local and international channel strategies and campaigns to drive brand awareness and distribution. You will also have the opportunity to work alongside locally based R+D Teams to inform innovation development.
You will also have the opportunity to manage and lead the development of a direct report (Marketing Coordinator).
This is a 3-4 day per week role and would be well suited to a well established FMCG Marketing Manager or Senior Brand Manager looking to take a step up.
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing or related discipline.
- Prior experience at either a 360 SBM or Marketing Manager level role within FMCG
- Deep understanding of brand building, channel strategy development, communications development and campaign management for both local and international markets
- Experience with NPD and innovation, working alongside local manufacturing teams
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and relationship building skills with the ability to work cross functionally and at all levels within a business
You will be an enthusiastic, dynamic, ambitious and passionate marketer who thinks outside the box and enjoys working within a team and getting your hands dirty. You will be a strong brand builder with a distinct passion for food and desire to work within a growing and entrepreneurial business, empowered to drive change and set the business up for success to continue to grow in the future.
You will be a naturally strong communicator with exceptional stakeholder management and relationship building skills. You will be adaptable in your nature and have strong problem solving and project management skills and be able to manage multiple conflicting priorities whilst maintaining good attention to detail and a high quality of work. Your leadership style will be empowering in nature, seeing you develop and mentor your direct report.
