About the client

Our client is a tier one FMCG business with a suite of much loved heritage brands across multiple categories. Well known for their dynamic, supportive and values driven culture as well as a drive for consumer led innovation, the business attracts and retains top talent.

Due to a recent transition from the current contract resource into a permanent role, there is an opportunity to join the team in a six-month contract role, reporting into the Marketing Director.

About the role

As Marketing Manager - Projects, you will sit in a unique role, acting as a "floating" resource within the marketing team owning strategic development and implementation of key strategic projects within the business across multiple brands and categories, rather than being dedicated to a single brand.

Key projects will include the implementation of a new key category strategy across multiple categories, which will deliver a real step change for the business. Your involvement will include NPD development, packaging development, management of the cost base, retailer engagement and owning product launches. You will also lead the development of first to market innovation and NPD projects as well as an overhaul of how the portfolio of brand show up within the digital ecosystem.

Please note: a four day per week option is available for the right candidate.

Skills + Experience

  • Prior experience operating at a Marketing Manager or Senior Brand Manager level within FMCG / Consumer Goods
  • Strong Innovation / NPD development experience via stage gate
  • Experience with developing and implementing brand strategy
  • Prior expeirence working with IRI / Nielsen / Quantium data
  • Experience working with local manufacturing highly advantageous
  • Tertiary qualification in relevant field eg. Marketing

Culture

This role is a great fit for a self-motivated candidate with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills as well as a strong level of maturity and diverse experience across brand / strategy / NPD. The successful candidate will not have a direct report in the role, therefore will need to be both the thinker and the do-er, developing the strategy, then working with both internal and external stakeholders to execute.
