Media and Content Specialist

The Role:

Reporting to the Brand and Creative Services Manager, this role requires the expertise of an experienced Media specialist, with a keen eye for detail, and a creative flare for writing and content:

  • The role will initially have two main priorities; to strategically update content across their current channels and to drive the PR of a milestone event for the organisation
  • Telling a story is what this organisation does on a day to day basis. This role requires someone to constantly focus on collecting these stories and creatively sharing them to get their message out there
  • Working across the whole organisation to build relationships so that people always understand and recognise an opportunity to work with Media
  • Ownership of an omni channel media strategy
  • Oversight of one direct report within the team
  • Development of extensive media networks both internally and externally
  • Focus on video content to compliment the media strategy and deliver high impact results


  • A natural ability to develop and tailor content for maximum impact across different channels; you have a great understanding of how different audiences respond
  • Exceptional written skills - you have significant experience in a writing capacity
  • Experience having oversight of other staff would be a huge bonus
  • You are incredibly organised with an ability to manage multiple opportunities at once
  • Great networks in the media space would be very highly regarded
  • Content development for various mediums is an essential for the role - you are confident with video content, and also your ability to interview effectively
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field would be expected
  • An understanding of both the disability sector and NDIS would be a benefit
  • If you don't have one already, a working with children and criminal history check would be required for the position
