About the role
This highly visible role is pivotal in delivering the organisation's growth aspirations during a period of positive transition. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic media plans that deliver across a diverse product portfolio to deliver seamless owned and earned media integration. Managing a significant media budget, you will develop the media channel strategy to optimise new channels to reach diverse target audiences, lead negotiations to maximise rates, develop relationships with networks, publishers and media partners; and manage numerous agency relationships. Given your broad knowledge across Australia's media landscape, you are well networked and have the ability to see around the corner to best position this company for growth.
You are a degree qualified, savvy communications professional with experience from either agency or client side. You understand how Australia's traditional media landscape works, and have deep experience and success in penetrating digital and trade media channels to deliver strategic growth to new audiences. You will have an existing strong network across editors, journalists, influencers and commentators; and are able to leverage these to the best outcome. You bring experience in managing media budgets of $30m+, are a strategic thinker, have the proven ability to plan ahead and are "in the traffic" in understanding digital media trends. Your analytical mind will be put to good use in this role as you leverage data led insights to deliver outputs. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, are self driven and are a natural born leader and mentor.
