This global FMCG business are currently making a significant move within the Australian grocery & foodservice market, and challenging the status quo when it comes to innovation and go-to-market strategies. They have a delicious product range that we all love to indulge in, and a recent acquisition has seen them invest heavily in their people and production facilities. They have big plans and as a result of this, they are now looking to appoint a new National Field Sales Manager in Melbourne.
About the role
Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, this role will be instrumental in setting up the national field force, as a result of bringing the field team in house after partnering with a distributor for a number of years. You will be tasked with recruiting your national team who will be selling into foodservice and retail customers, with a focus on end users, accompanied with the design and implementation of the field sales process, including systems, reporting, forecasting, KPI's etc. This is a huge opportunity for someone to come in and make their leadership mark in an evolving business that is sure to shake up the market.
Skills & experience
Success in this role will come from demonstrated state management or national sales / management experience from within the FMCG or consumer goods industry, ideally with a mix of big & small business experience within the foodservice & independents channel. You will have had experience in building, coaching and driving a team, and know what success looks like when it comes to building capability. Given this business are in a build phase, patience and an ability to deal with ambiguity will see you succeed in this role.
