Our client is a family owned food business who represent both branded and private label products throughout the grocery and foodservice channels. They are considered as one of the largest employers in their industry and have recently experienced significant growth due to the acquisition of multiple brands Australians love. As a result, there is now a newly created opportunity for a Nationla Account Manager to manage their foodservice distributors.
About the role
Reporting to the Head of Sales, your key responsibility will be to drive and maintain critical business relationships throughout key foodservice distributors such as PFD, Bidfood etc, as well as driving new business throughout smaller independents. You will develop and execute strategic account and customer plans, develop new product ranges and kits whilst also maintaining and growing existing customers. There is huge opportunity here for someone to turn this channel on its head by going to market with a new product offering, as a result of the current market.
Skills & Experience
Success in this role will come from demonstrated National / Key Account Management experience working in a food manufacturing environment, managing large foodservice customers. These will include large distributors and end users, and you will have excellent communication and financial skills accompanied with a high level of business acumen. A passion for the industry is a given, as well as a new business attitude.
